Founded in 1987 by Michael Zamagias, Zamagias Properties is a privately held, family-owned real estate investment company with a diverse portfolio of approximately 2 million square feet.
We specialize in the development, operation, and commercialization of retail, office, mixed-use/residential, and student housing properties. While our portfolio is primarily concentrated in Pennsylvania, we have owned and operated assets across up to 14 states throughout our history. Our properties welcome millions of visitors each year and currently total approximately 2 million square feet, including 1.6M SF of retail, 240K SF of office, and 225K SF of residential space.
With a longstanding commitment to family‑office‑led development and investments; vertically integrated site acquisition through design‑build, financing, construction, and long‑term property management, we have built nearly four decades of successful public-private partnerships with local and state governments. Michael Zamagias is a Pittsburgh‑area real‑estate entrepreneur who has conceived, financed, and delivered a wide array of commercial and mixed‑use projects across the United States. Beginning with the development of Robinson Town Centre—a premier retail and entertainment hub in Western Pennsylvania—Michael has guided multiple ventures from raw land assembly through construction oversight and tenant leasing, turning vacant parcels into a thriving destinations that have generated hundreds of millions of dollars in annual economic impact for the region.
Over more than four decades, Michael has expanded his portfolio to include historic renovations of office and mixed‑use buildings, multifamily communities, and student‑housing complexes. Notable undertakings in Lancaster, PA, such as the adaptive‑reuse of the former Bulova building into the 101NQ mixed‑use complex, the restoration of the Keppel Building, and the conversion of the historic LNP headquarters into The Intel apartments illustrate the skill of his organization in breathing new life into legacy structures. Each project under his direction revitalizes neighborhoods, creates jobs, and adds lasting value to the built environment.
David joined Zamagias Properties in September 2009, bringing a wide range of experience in construction, development, real estate finance, capital structuring, and manufacturing. He is responsible for leading the company’s real estate operations, including new business development, leasing, and property management.
He began his career in general contracting with Turner Construction in Southern California. After earning his MBA, David relocated to Pittsburgh and joined PNC Bank, where he served as Senior Vice President. In that role, he structured and managed over $2 billion in real estate loans for a diverse portfolio of commercial projects nationwide. Before joining Zamagias Properties, he was involved in a green-technology start-up focused on manufacturing innovative building products.
David holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Michigan, where he graduated with High Distinction.
Michael originally joined Zamagias Properties in 2009 and worked through 2015 before rejoining in 2019 following several years with our sister company, TeleTracking Technologies. He brings a diverse background in economics and capital structuring, and currently oversees the financial functions of the company, including corporate development, governance, early-stage investments, and loan sourcing.
He began his career in economic research and developing country privatization with the Federal Reserve Board and Price Waterhouse, both in Washington, D.C. and abroad. Michael later served as a senior executive across New Hampshire, Michigan, and Ohio, leading efforts in business restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, and financing/IPO transactions for companies in a wide range of industries – including automotive, aerospace, internet, insurance, telecommunications, chemicals, and wood products.
Michael is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Dartmouth College, where he earned a degree in Economics. He also holds an MBA from Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business, graduating with high distinction as an Amos Tuck Scholar. In addition, he holds CPA and CMA designations.
Vince joined Zamagias Properties in September 2004, bringing extensive experience as a real estate and commercial attorney. He oversees all legal matters related to the company’s real estate portfolio, including leasing, acquisitions and dispositions, operational issues, and financing.
With a background in both corporate and private practice, Vince previously served as an equity partner at the Pittsburgh law firm Metz Lewis, LLC, and held in-house counsel roles at the Hertz Corporation and Ingersoll Rand Finance Corporation. He has broad experience across real estate, construction, and financial transactions, representing owners and tenants of shopping centers, malls, office buildings, and industrial properties. His legal practice has also included litigation in real estate and construction disputes, as well as borrower and lender representation.
Vince holds a bachelor’s degree and a J.D. from Duquesne University and earned a Master of Science in Real Estate from New York University.
Marcus joined his brother’s real estate company over 30 years ago as a senior member of the Operations Department. Today, he continues to lead the day-to-day management and oversight of approximately 2 million square feet of commercial, office, and mixed-use properties.
He is responsible for coordinating all aspects of construction, maintenance, repairs, and tenant buildouts across the portfolio. Marcus also plays a key role in evaluating potential new developments, leveraging his deep expertise in construction and property management.
He is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Mike joined the Zamagias Properties team in December 2009 and oversees the marketing and leasing of the retail and commercial real estate portfolio. He also contributes to the development team, evaluating the feasibility of new projects.
A Pittsburgh native, Mike returned to the city in 2009 after spending a decade in commercial real estate development and brokerage in Chicago. His diverse experience includes development, project management, and both landlord and tenant representation in leasing and sales transactions.
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Gannon University and a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
